Chuck Bentley, CEO and Host
Biographical Information:
In 2000, while a business owner in Dallas, Texas, Chuck Bentley was deeply impacted as a student in a Crown Bible study. The entire direction of his life was changed when he realized that he was attempting to serve two masters, God and money, and failing at both. His authentic passion for the vision and mission of Crown results from the transformational impact that God’s Word has had on his finances and more importantly, on his relationship with Christ.
Chuck has traveled throughout the world teaching biblical financial principles to the affluent, middle class, poor and ultra poor. He is the co-creator of the Crown Money MapTM, a contributor to Saddleback Church’s small group series, Managing Our Finances God’s Way, and is currently writing and producing a series of short films designed to convey God’s principles of provision and sustainability through dramatic Bible stories seldom captured in visual media. He brings to Crown visionary leadership that connects with all generations and is a dynamic speaker who inspires his audience with a strong scriptural emphasis.
Following in the footsteps of Crown’s cofounders, the late Larry Burkett and the immediate past CEO, Howard Dayton, Chuck has assumed the mantle of a strategic organization founded in 1976, that now reaches around the world with staff on every continent, a media presence throughout North and South America, and books and materials serving the spiritual and financial needs of all people, regardless of their economic condition. Crown’s outreach impacts individuals, families, churches, and businesses through the joyful, liberating biblical truth of making and managing money so that God’s purposes for one’s life can be fulfilled.
He has previously served Crown as Senior Vice President of Global Impact Group, Vice President of the US Field, State Director of Texas, and Area Director in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Before joining Crown, he was the founder and president of OfficeExchange, an Internet startup that in 1999 was named one of the 60 best seed stage companies in the world. The company did not survive the technology crash of 2000; however, Chuck considers the experience a blessing God used for his personal transformation. Chuck started his career in a family-owned oil and gas exploration company, and moved to sales and marketing roles in Dallas, Texas where he excelled in real estate prior to forming OfficeExchange.
Chuck was born July 2, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He enjoys reading, the outdoors and his family. He and his wife Ann have been married for 28 years. Both are graduates of Baylor University, where Chuck earned a B.A. in Business Administration, served as Student Body President and received both Outstanding Sophomore Man and Outstanding Senior Man awards. He currently serves on the board of directors of Camp Highland, a Christ-centered, high adventure camp for youth. He is frequently a guest speaker addressing both churches and business leaders on biblical financial topics. Chuck and Ann live near Atlanta, Georgia and have four sons and a daughter-in-law.
